Xantia 3.0 V6 Cambelt.

Unread post by Citroening »

Just a quick question as to what mileage is the cambelt due on the V6 Xantia?

TIA.

Im not sure, someone will know. But given its age it should have had one, if not its well overdue. :)

The official spec is 80,000 miles or 10 years.

10 years? The Peugeot V6 interval is 80k or 8 years.

If 10 is true, I wonder why the Citroen one is longer.

I know Citroens intervals for some cars is 10 years but I didnt think the Xantia was in that, not the V6 anyway.

I have a spare "pompe à eau" for the ES9J4, cheap, if one is needed.

Best to just do it. If you use the later C5 ES9J4S waterpump and tensioner then the job is not too bad at all, you don't even need a SEEM gauge and acess is, by Citroen standards, reasonably good...

Bar the gearbox that is

But yes, they're tough old beasts. If you look at the cambelt it is a ginormous affair. Twice the width of a TD belt and a mile long

63K lexi, it's but a youngster!!!
