Normandy and back via the Portsmouth vomit comet to Cherbourg. 384 miles and 54 to the gallon. Obviously the culprit was the bends and hills and traffic. I had been hoping for 60. Of course I didn't want to miss the boat back which involved regular running at 80 Mph +/- a certain tolerance[;)]so I'm happy with that. I'm happy with the new rear arm bearings. Having not driven another to compare it to I wasn't entirely sure that it should feel so much like s Skoda Estelle at the back but all is well now, making the car much more stable everywhere and much better under braking.
