FAP REMOVAL

Unread post by john alexander »

Hi If I remove the inside of the fap on my wifes 307 sw 1.6 05 plate, will it still go into limp mode or will it just keep on showing the faults on the display and the warning lights.
regards john.

Its quite likely to do both to be honest. It 'needs' it as the ECU program expects it to be there so it can measure the output as well as the input to the exhaust system.

Battered out the inside of the FAP filter and put back on , remapped the ECU to de-fap and increase bhp and torque -

standard 180 lb ft of torque ,went to 280 lb ft

standard 110 bhp ,went to 146.6 bhp

Great torque through out gears and no flat spots
