LED's on a Xantia S1

Well, I went on an eBay spree about a fortnight ago and got 10 LED W5W bulbs.

Today, I thought, well, WTH, I'll fit them in some places.

The end result is, my number plate is lit up nicely, very crisp, clean light.

The side repeaters were pretty cack... The light through the orange lenses was very distorted and not immediately visible from any angle other than side on to the car. I decided they were to come out.

And a similar story with the side light bulbs. They were very good when it was dark however, daytime driving was poor.

So, the good side is that they work well as number plate illumination...

Sadly, they don't cut it for side repeaters or side lights in my honest opinion. From a safety point of view, I wouldn't like to use them.

The units I was using were 4 LED w5w units, forward facing in white. The white however was a bluey colour.
