406 Hdi radio

Hi

I did mention this before but now have a better idea of the symptoms. My radio seems to have very little gain or a weak signal from the aerial, in some places I can only pick up one station, Tescos car park in Axminster for instance, at home where we are fairly high I can pick up a few but in some places nothing at all.

Yesterday I was in Cardiff and could hear lots of stations, obviously the transmitter must be local, selecting the 'DX' option on the tuning doesn't seem to make any difference, what I want to know is, are they all like this or is there something wrong with mine. I have checked the aerial connection above the interior light and it doesn't have a pre amp.

my year 2000,406 radio is fine,picks up lot,s of stations in the west london/hampshire area

OK thanks, I think mine must be faulty, my XM radios pick up loads of stations here.
