passenger door central locking wiring

Post by nick19800 »

I was basically after a wiring diagram of the passenger door as my passenger door doesn't unlock with the central locking but if locked or unlocked from the passenger door it works the central locking so all the doors lock and unlock so I was wondering if there were 2 feeds, one to the door and 1 from the door if that makes any sense?, also I've got a light on the dash telling me that theres a door open when theres not which makes me think I may have a couple of broken wires in the rubber conduit that goes between the chassis and the passenger door which is causing me problems especially as I had a broken wire in the same place on the drivers door which was preventing the windows from working!!

Sorry for all the questions that probably have been asked before a 100 times before but I'm new to Citroen's and to be honest I find the search function quite unsuccessful and seems to bring up a lot of posts that don't really correspond to anything in my search request, either that or they haven't been asked before  or I'm just being bloody awkward

The will be the common problem of a broken wire between the door and pillar inside the rubber grommet...

As the signal for lock is a different wire for locking WITH the passenger lock thats why it works when you lock with that door and doesn't when you do it with the drivers door...

Peel the grommet back and have a look at the wires ....

Could also be the locking module itself, i had the same problem on a xsara, a replacement module shouldnt cost more than £20 from a scrappy and is easy (if a bit fiddly) to fit, this threw up the door open light on mine
