external temp display problem ?

Post by HDI »

The external temperature display on my HDI has started to behave strangely !
At first start up from cold it displays a stupidly low temp, like -20, gradually, during the journey it increases to a more sensible figure but still not accurate.
Is this likely to be the sensor itself ? Where is that located ? How much do they cost ?

Thanks.
Now using '00 Xantia LX HDI, pov spec :(

Mine also shows a variation of unlikely temps , it is located in a wing mirror and is like these http://www.aepdirect.com/wing-mirror-te ... ory_id=755

Could be corrosion on the connectors in behind the mirror where it goes into the door, assuming there is a connection in the door somewhere
