suspension swap

Post by axford »

Hi all,I have an 8 valve, 2 litre hdi ,y reg cit c5 that needs suspension attention.Does anyone know if I can use the rear rams from an hpi car (petrol) on mine - its got the middle sphere so its the hydractive + but the rams complete look in good nick so can i just swap them - my c5 is an lx with the hydractive non plussed without the middle height regulator sphere.
In short is there any difference between the actual sphere and piston set up in an hpi and an hdi early c5 ??
many thanks for any help

As far as I can see at a practical level the struts are identical you will however need to use your original spheres as the spheres for H3+ will be different pressure.

Of course you could fit the H3 + system would need to add a couple of wires from the BHI to drive the EV though. :-)
