Hi folks,
I am new to this list though not new to the Citroëns as I have a 1986 Gti Turbo 5 speed Left Hand Drive, 1986 CX with the Douverin motor 4 speed, 1988 CX TRI Auto and last but not least 1990 XM 3L V6 Auto here in Ontario, Canada.
I am after some information with reference to the sphere N2 recharging.
Spheres are not sold here , I know that they are so cheap in the U.K that one can go buy them and put them in the car, Canada is no service for these cars ..... only Cit nuts have as hobbies.
I was looking at getting a Valprex valves as well as Technosir C720 setup, where may I get further information please?
many thanks

Welcome to the forum.
I have recently bought some valves and a sphere re-charging kit for a friend from Tecnosir the Italian company supplying this equipment.
Unfortunately their website seems to be down.

Give them a call, you may have more joy speaking to them in French than English, I certainly did. And they are very slow to respond to e-mails. Keep the pressure on them, and they should be fine.
This little video demonstrates their system.

Hi thanks for the comments with reference to my cars,
Here are the two links as they are advertised on the kijiji, I will post some pictures and or the videos some other time.
In the meantime a fell here has helped me in getting the information for the Technosir C720 , C850 and the Valprex valves, I have already ordered them and should be here within the next few weeks.

Hi,
a fellah helped me from Greece, no sooner did I get a pdf from him, I immediately placed an order with the Technosir for the valprex valves, C850 Eccentric valve remover tool, as well as the Technosir C720, I got a return communication from Sandro at Technosir and I initiated a payment via the PP and their parcel was here to Canada from Italy within one week.
I am happy as it has been for months that I have been trying to get a hold of this equipment, it is not really as cheap as the shipping costs added on top of the total as well as Taxes after it lands here all adds to the final outcome.
Using the Technosir C720 could have been made easy by the Instructions that it came with, however the Instructions that are written are a direct translation from Italian to English - exactly word for word in that sequence, maybe an Italian would understand this expressions but I have had a difficulty , also the instructions that I received is written for the first series of the Technosir C720 charger which in my opinion is far superior to the one that I received.
My Technosir have a newer head to charge the sphere Valprex valve, hence it does not need a bleed valve at the charger main body as this latter was present as a tap on the Left Hand side this helped after the charge was made to the sphere, to remove any excess N2 left inside the pipes before removing the charge head from the sphere valve.
Also the N2 feed that the Technosir came with is for the European standard and the feed isn't compatible with the CGA 580 North American N2 bottle.
I have managed to get all these things taken care off , hence my Technosir is fully operational and am already using it with the N2 bottle that is filled with pure as you can get Nitrogen M 99.995% pure, though care must be taken when charging the spheres to expel any O2 left inside the pipes as well as the sphere diaphragm, my idea is to use a vacuum gun to fit onto the valprex valve that is fitted to your sphere and or screw the sphere to be charged onto a sphere checker , pump about 2 bars of pressure into the sphere, this will expel any leftover O2 from the sphere's top membrane out of the valprex valve also this will only expel air out only when you would use a pin to hold down the ball that is part of the Valprex valve so all the Oxygen will be expelled from the top of the valve, now just screw the Technosir head onto the Valprex valve of the sphere to be charged and execute the charge.
All these instructions are not written anywhere or posted anywhere, it is the experience that has allowed me to give an overview.
Though I stand to be corrected anytime.
cheers

Hi,
it is good to know, hence I will not worry about removing any air, you are right it is such a small amount and not worth worrying about, so I will now eliminate the step whereby I was doing this and just go ahead and charge the spheres.
Today I had 4 x 62 bar spheres lying around in my garage, that I was able to check the pressures and they were all dead, though I was able to check them for any leakage, none, so I fitted the Valprex valves and charged them all they are all holding good 62 bars, I am also pleased that this is so simple.
many thanks again
