2001 C5 2.2 HDi SX Estate - Light Blue

Sadly, my C5 has met its demise due to a broken piston (dodgy injector).
I may be breaking my car (unless i get an offer of another engine in the meantime) and everything on the car is in good order except for the engine.

All the panels are true and straight, may be the odd small scuff here and there, the tailgate does have a small dent (annoying as i do not know where that come from!) which will knock out but has not damaged the paintwork. Rear window opens with a new switch and the Forum mod.

I think everything is as standard and is in good order however the TrafficMaster unit is known not to work.

If there is anything anyone is interested in, please let me know and we can negotiate a price. I will operate a first come first served system as some members have already asked for parts so they will be answered first. I could be prepared to post large items (body panels etc) but prefer not to due to damage in transit (white one

)

Shame really as the car has just had a full service and 11 months MOT!!

Sorry to hear that Andy, another engine not an option? and if not what are you going to replace it with ?

Should have read the post more carefully have you tried contacting some of the online "breaker" netrorks for another engine?, The later 173BHP 2.2 would be nice

Oh too true but a quick scan on ebay tells me that they are looking at around £995 for a unit that i have no idea if its any good. I can buy a whole car for that which i can drive and test before buying - cannot do that with a lump sat on a pallet!. Just spent over £400 on injectors and £60 on a 4 year battery in a vain hope that that would do the trick!!

Not sure what to buy yet. if i get the same type of car - i have a drive full of bits but then again, i had a Vauxhall Omega before the C5 and that was no trouble at all.

How is your car now, i thought i read somewhere you where thinking of chopping??

Sorry for not coming back to you sooner but i have not had chance to get up to the car until today where i have had the day off to remove parts that some people want. Will try to remove other bits next week sometime.

Please let me know if you need anything, the car is Light Blue Metallic.
