XANTIA 1.9TD Heater matrix

Post by randomx »

Hello
Wondering if there is an easy way out of what seems to be a horror job.
Looking to know if anybody knows somebody in Ireland that does this kind of thing ?
Regards Mike.

You dont say what vehicle you are driving (or were!).
I have a ZX TD Volcane and have replaced my Matrix a few months ago - and its not a fun weekend. Whoever decided that when designing a car, we start at the Matrix and build around it - should be taken outside and SHOT!!
The entire dash has to come out - and i mean the entire dash!
Good luck

AFAIR "middleman" who posts on the www.honestjohn.co.uk forums has professional experience of doing this on a number of Citroens - though I suspect his comments will be similar to andyg's...
The honestjohn forums are (more or less) searchable.

Hope it aint a CX, because when they built CXs the heater matrix was the first bit to go onto the production line, the whole car is built round it!! :-))))
