406 2.1 td hyraulic clutch probs

Hi iv just brought a 1997 406 2.1td estate and am having problems with the clutch. when i picked it up i noticed the clutch was biting right on the floor. Iv topped the fluid up as the pot was empty and it seemed ok after that but after a day its gone soft again .Not lost any fluid though. Is there anyway to bleed it and how can i remove the slave cylinder to see if it is leaking? Thanks James.

i too am in Hastings well St Leonards on sea,

how low was the fluid in the tank and is there any sign of fluid under the gear box/clutch houseing,

may be its only leaking very slightly so you would not have noticed a level drop yet,

does the paedel become firmer if you pump it, if so does it then sink if you hold the presure on,
