Xantia TD Clutch

Post by reservex »

The clutch pressure plate on my Xantia 1.9 TD has gone, does anyone know roughly how much this costs to replace?

If you're going to the trouble of replacing it, you might as well get a full clutch kit. About £100 for a genuine Valeo one, or £50 for a pattern part. Personally I would stick with Valeo.

I believe this is a 7 hour job in the Citroen Service Schedule.

One of my best mate's staff quoted me £540 to replace but he was charging £200 for the clutch which as already stated you can get for £100. I think I got mine for £85.

I pulled in a favour and got mine replaced for £300 all in. Basically, £25 per hour against £45 per hour with my mate (mate's rates excluded).

Or £85 - £100 plus blood, sweat and tears if you opt to do it yourself!

Find your closest Mr Clutch, you supply Clutch and see what price they give you for fitting, you may be surprised.
