eBay - Series 1 CX DTR TURBO.

Certainly a rare sight nowadays to see a Series one DTR Turbo.
Not sure about the series 2 add-ons though with the grille and mirrors but why are they always so far away! :roll:
Hi, selling this on behalf of a friend who is not keeping too well
a number of vehilces need to be sold and removed from a garage asap....the list includes, Rs 2000, sierra 4 x 4, various Rovers,Tigra etc
the car has been sitting a while and although a bit grubby on the outside looks pretty clean inside.
this rare aspiring classic is sold as spares or repair as it has no mot.
As the vehicle is sought after starting bid is £500.....with no reserve,
car is near Kirkcudbright, South West, Scotland.
suggest car is viewed prior to purchase....sold as seen.

That where I bought my lads Aprillia from! it took about 5 hours from me.... the longest part being off motorway and A roads 'pain'

Amazing!
Kirkcudbright is 300 miles from us so even at £495 that's nearly £800 home! :shock: Too dear, unfortunately.

Another hopeless advert with one rubbish picture & no details about the car, its scrap value based on the ad, just because its rare doesnt make it worth anything tbh :x

Thats where we bought our Peugeot 1007 from!

Though we were holidaying in Scotland and had a house on the coast around 20 miles form there at the time, as we were looking round Kirkcudbright we spotted the Peugeot and bought it. Funny that, its hardly a big place, its quite nice though.

Im going back up there in a few months for a week, i wonder if the CX will have sold by then!

Looks like those cars have been standing a good while. Id love a lock up like that!

Colin would get shot! He is picking up another Xantia this weekend, taking his Xantia count to 5!!

I was watching this quite closely.

It's around 90 miles each way from me.

I was tempted to make the seller an offer after it didn't finish but have decided against it as I don't have the space for another car at the moment or the time to get it running.

That's a shame David as it really needs to be saved - these Series 1 DTRs are seriously low on the ground nowadays and it's a shame it's up in Scotland.

Being the Series 1 it won't have the possible porous block issue and they normally go forever - the engines normally outlive the body.
Sounds like they need it moving fast so a cheeky offer may succeed if you get tempted. :)
Hopefully they won't just sell it to the scrappy. :(

Wow, I didn't even realise this bit on the forum existed! So is the CX forum not working just now then? What's his name, Rutherford? I think he ran the server from his house over a broadband connection, I know Jim runs his own wee site in this manner, but uses a proper hosted server for this. Anyway.

Frug frug frug, the trouble with CXs is that they require lots of love and attention, sadly I can't give it that, I'm sure if anyone else in the central belt of Scotland required some (outside) storage space for a CX then I could be of assistance....
