Excellent little video, there are some real nice places in Yorkshire 8-)

Its about an hours drive to 'heartbeat' - Goathland from where I live. I often go over that way for a good walk. Whitby too is a good place for a visit. I like having a tour down the coast, really quite scenic with some good little villages.

Yorkshire has some really nice places - we went up there on holiday a couple of years back in a C5.

I'm sure I've got some pictures of it on the moors somewhere...!

Depending on when you go it is often crammed with people and parking can be tricky to find.

Saltburn is another place i quite like over that way, though its a little higher up the coast from Whitby, its a reasonably interesting little town. The odd inclined tramway is differet too.

Grosmont near Goathland is worth a visit too, though like whitby its a busy little place in peak times.

255 people per square kilometre? I'd find that a bit busy...

Australia has 2.9 people for the same unit of area.

The locals don't know what they are talking about anyway so interpreters are useless.

Just think what problems I have. (from Whitby and live among the Geordies and Mackams  )

poor begger..= I feel so sorry for you living twixt 'waay aye mann!' lol

Yes, the old time Yorkshire folk do have an interesting dialect,(booits...boots etc),sometimes un understandable,(weirt tha bahn?...where are you going), much like a lot of counties.
I must admit, I find the Scots, when they're talking really fast, like some do, like chinese!
And the welsh...well..they're just plain greedy, they have two languages...
..why? They're still joined to us..not separated by a pond or owt!

Bit of Yorkshire translations  :

http://www.silsden.net/yorkshiredialect/dictionary.htm

And yes,I have to agree, and also feel privaleged to live in Yorkshire missen, (use said dictionary link) ;

Being a biker also, we have some top biking roads/scenery up here,
but I think everywhere has some natural beauty, Cumbria/Lake district, Scotland/stunning views, mountains etc,(more than made up for my bloody cold camping bike roadtrip :D
Australia, the bush, USA, route 66, on my wishlist 8-)

Anyway..sorry, I digress,

Has anyone mentioned, (apart from the OP), in this post what this 'icccccccc thing is all about?

Is it a massive Citroen car show?

Yes, I'm being a tad flippant, , but I had a quick look on the OP's links and...well...lots of blurb...

I'm only qurious, as the mother in law lives in Retirementville/sorry,/Harrogate, half an hour from me.
We've seen a few classic shows over there, cars/trucks etc, for free, and much fun was had,
...but a quick flick through the iccccccccccccccccccccccc blurb quotes 70 quid or summat daft for a car and 3 passengers?

Goathland was pretty packed to when we arrived but we went back in the evening and it was much better. We were staying at Scotch Corner Travelodge for a few days and went to Beamish while we were there, that was very interesting - I know it not in Yorkshire, but near enough :D

Dave I don't believe you are a true born and bred Yorkshireman as I notice that you have used a word that no Yorkshireman ever does in your post above, "The" I've never heard a true Yorkshireman use "The" in a sentence

Mind you I can never understand anything that a Yorkshireman says anyway!
