Re-fitting badges.

Post by C.J. »

Any of you guys got a quick fix solution for re-aqpplying these plastic badges, namely the boot fitted Citroen and Xantia ones?
Took the old ones off, but it destroys the sticky tape that's cut to the same shape as the badges.
Tried superglue but they've fallen off again, and they looked messy anyway. :x

I bought some badge adhesive strip from eBay to do mine. I went for the expensive type that's apparently used by a few manufacturers. Bit fiddly cutting lots of little pieces to go around curves and things, but did it months ago and much rain, snow and ice later, they're still stuck firmly in place and looking good.

Halfords and the like all sell double sided adhesive pads for holding
number plates. They're thin (1-2mm) and green/black. If you use these
and cut them into narrower strips so the're hidden within the badge area
you'll find they're damned good at holding anything.

Thanks, but this is the very problem I'm trying to avoid. The intricate cutting around the edges of the letters and holes.

Look like a mission impossible to me.
Can't even find exact new repalcements on flea bay either.

Most badges for the Xantia are still available OTC. Series 2, at least.
