Blue Wire?!?!?

Citroen Xantia 2.0 HTDi W Reg

I just noticed a loose Blue live wire hanging down below the fuse box at drivers knee! Does anybody know what this is for?

It might be a "tuning" part from the previous owner

I can't think of any blue wires in that area that fit the description. Try to follow it back to its source if you can and then report back.

I agree with VertVega as to the provenance of it as all the wiring in that area is generally above the fuse box.

My bet is that it'll end up at the ignition switch connectors and was indeed to power something alien to the car. Or, in an attempt to fix an electrical problem.

Does everything work as expected on the car? Blower motor especially?

No the Blower Motor has been broken for a while. Also the electric windows work intermmitently. I traced the blue wire back and it was joined to a wire behind Fuses 1,2 and 3.
