Xantia Pollen filter

Post by Nikolaymk »

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has any idea how often do I need to change the pollen filter (my car hasn't got air con). Is it an easy job? Some basic instructions will be highly appreciated.
Many thanks[8D]

The filter is situated above the passenger side footwell, remove or lower the felty stuff and you will find a panel that either secured with clips or screws. Change the filter remembering which way round it was and the jobs done. No more than 20 minutes tops.

I may be wrong, but I didn't think that non air-con Xantia's had a pollen filter.
Mine has both and the access to the filter is as Pete says but the bottom of the pollen filter 'holder' slides off. There is an arrow on the bottom of the cover.
Although I change my pollen filter every 6,000 miles it is filthy by that time.

Hi,
In addition to what has advice has already been offered, could I suggest that you buy a Haynes manual?
All questions regarding basic maintenance and scheduled tasks are covered, in varying levels of detail.
Also, the pictures are often of a lousy quality but will be of great assistance in most instances.
It does cover your particular model [;)]but mine unfortunately it does not.[:(]
Happy spannering,
simon.
