i have a 1999 meridian and i overtook a car today and there was a black cloud out the exhaust
done it three times but has stopped any ideas

if you normally drive gently then the exhaust fills up with soot
if you then floor it for the first time in a while it blows all the soot out
always thrash your car before the MOT for that reason, I mean 4000 rpm and throttle flat to the floor
