ZX Rev Counter
Does anyone know where the rev counter on my 93 ZX TD Volcane recieves its information, mine has suddenly stopped working[:(]??

From a flywheel sensor.
Look around the perimeter of the flywheel housing - and you'll find a 2 lead screened cable - most likely ending in a 3pole brown connector somewhere on engine.
It's a common coil magnetic sensor - you MAY have an unused auxillary TDC sensor fitted for the Citroen diagnostic system - which then can be swapped over - as they are the same.
