607 16v hdi fault finding

Unread post by chrisely »

Hi, have had a lot of help off this forum with my 607 hdi. Am after someone local too me who could have a look at it and try too find wots putting it into limp home mode!!!
Steve Woods has been a super star with it and me :D .
Has the remap with dpf and additive tank removed.
New manifold diaphram fitted
New ABS rings fitted
Cat and dpf free flowing
Main dealers as usual happy taking money but not fixing problem
Have had tyre pressure moniters switched off.
Think thats all of it.
Have ABS warning on and no ABS and the limp home coming on.
Have been told get engine sorted then ABS will work fine!!!!
If anyone knows what problem it is or can come have a look, would be great.
Vacum pipes, boost pressure sensors and solinods seem too be the main answer but which one is it or has anyone got some too swop about with???
Thanks Chris

what year is your 607 ?
I think on the vanbus (upto 2004) one there is not much interaction between ABS and engine.

I have limp home mode on my 607 once. It was due to a vacuum pipe falling off. There is a kind of vacuum manifold at the back of the engine bay, in the middle, up high near the bonnet hinge line. All of the vacuum pipes seem to meet up there and one had fallen off.

If any vacuum line anywhere in the system fails then you loose vacuum and the ECU then can't control the turbo properly. Then it freaks out and limits you to 3000 rpm.

I was in Norwich this weeking and had all my diagnostic stuff with me. Shame you didn't say before.
