Xantia Rear Sphere

Post by Blackdog »

I am going to Contact Martin on Tuesday to see if I can actually get hold of a replacement housing for the rear sphere...fit it... then sort the LHM out if it has got air in it....and I am hoping that the issue with the front suspention will improve(stop jerking in a series of three jerks ) and that she sits at the right height at the front.. just before the leak started at the rear sphere housing she would sit really high at the front in normal driving mode....Ive checked the height corrector and regularly lubricate it and always put the car through a session of press ups every week or so..I am still offline and probably wont be connected for a couple of weeks but look forward to being able to communicate more easily then....so lets see what Martin says on Tuesday Ive done business with him before...Thanks again...BlackDog

If Martin can't help then maybe KP could as he may be breaking an Activa and could reserve the rear centre sphere assembly for you.

TBH there won't be much if anything shared between a s1 hydractive saloon
(Activa is effectively a VSX) and a s2 hydropneumatic SSX estate apart from
maybe the rear brake reserve/anti sink sphere though I wouldn't expect this
to cause height issues at the front or contribute to a leaky rear ram.

The front height corrector may be fine but it's adjustment for the reference
to the anti roll bar could be set wrong. Martin will be your best guide to
the issues you're encountering here I'd expect.
