heating problems in a citroen picasso

Post by lewisd1 »

I have an x reg 2000 citroen picasso 1600 petrol. The heating will not work except when turned on to setting 4. Does anyone have any idea about what could be wrong, and how to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

hi and welcome

i have no experiance with Picasso heaters as yet, but is it just no heater fan untill set on 4, or no heat at all till set to 4,

if its only has heater fan at 4 (full blow) it could well be the fan speed control module, which again i dont know were it is located,

regards malcolm

And welcome ! :D

The 2000 Picasso is a Xsara, so has a resistor to regulate the fan speed.
The yellow/silvery 169°C fuse has blown and can be replaced from an electronics supplier.
It must be crimped in because solder will melt.
