Xanta alloy wheel

Post by imperial21 »

Did citroen xantias SXs have alloy wheels ? The style i am interested in i have only seen as a wheel trim but i would buy if i could get themas a wheel.
The wheel looks like the one on this car

The linked eBay car has 15" steels and wheeltrims as seen on various
Xantiae and Xsara/Picasso models. The nearest alloy wheel design I guess
would be the multi spoked bobbly pattern wheel fitted to the Exclusive
spec Xants. The Sx only ever came with steels and trims as standard
unless the alloys were a paid for optional extra from new or retrospectively
DIY/dealer fitted.

Sounds like you need VSX or Activa alloys then if the s2 wheeltrims don't
appeal now if they're just steels.

LAST Late S1 Xantias gained VSX Alloys as a run out before the S2 came along.

Thats R reg S1 SX cars only. They also gained rear spoiler, and Suede trim as standard, but for a short time only, as S2 SX cars lost the alloys.

I've an SX (Series 2) with factory fitted alloys.

Not for the first time, has one proven troublesome - my tyre blokes told me yesterday that another one is out of whack...

Your in a Different country too...

Specs DO vary from country to country. I think the S2 SX should have had alloys standard too....

But on the other hand, the centreless alloys are hopeless... A very stylish alloy, but terrible to balance..

Hi imperial21

I'm not a great fan of the exclusive alloys either and think the earlier VSX alloys were much better.

I use to have the wheel trims you refer to on my old S2 Xantia hdi and they do seem to suit the car quite well :D
