Hi All.
I am off to see Pleiades tomorrow to get my hydraulic pump sorted, its
leaking. As its a mk1 V6 they dont have a exchange unit so they are going
to remove it and repair it.
I will let you know how I got on.

They did a splendid job on my MK1 V6 regulator Howard. It was leaking from the top (as it is viewed) and has been as ac dry as a temperance bar ever since..
V6s seem prone to this. I guess it's the heat that does it.

Its more likely to be the fact that its in such an awkward place the Accumilator gets left, goes flat and causes undue pressure on the regulator seals.. They are upside down on V6's IIRC, so the sphere is facing down.
So if avereage person thinks like I did, you have to open the regulator screw to release pressure, they wont do it, as the regulator screw is the most awkward to get at...
I know this from my Mk.1 V6... but I managed at a struggle..
Thats what I think anyway, Jim.

pump
Hi .
The pump has been refurbished ,very good service.
Time wise it took about 3.5hrs to take the pump off ,refurbish, then refit it and test. While they did it I had a drive around Peterborough.
