What if new users had to fill out more of their profile with credible detail? The spammers don't even usually pretend, so this would flush them out.

Most of the spam we have are from humans, not bots, which is why many get through the checks.

If they can't complete the phrase "Needle Nardle ..." then we shouldn't let them in. :P

Once again, I for one appreciate the diligence of the admins. Thank you and thanks also for not banning free email accounts, despite the benefit this would have in reducing these lowlifes intrusions.

Jim, did you really miss the Goons altogether?

I've met some of the Milligan family and they are living proof that "Spike" was no anomaly...

Yes  They were a generation before me.

I confess the bits of them I've heard I don't find all that funny. A bit of an acquired taste I guess; I never seemed to acquire it...

Much more of a Monty Python man myself. That was definitely my generation. We grew up with Python as the previous generation grew up with the Goons.

Maybe the generation that followed me find Python a bit of an acquired taste perhaps.

My kids enjoy Python. Maybe because of their dad they've grown up with it. Same reason they love early Elton John music...

They also share my enjoyment of the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy....

So Long....
