Discount card?

I was in my local GSF today buying a clutch cable for my BX TD when I saw a notice asking for your discount card before purchase.
In the event I forgot to ask at the store, so how does one qualify for a discount card and how much is it worth?

The discount cards come with certain clubs and organisations and constitute group buying (give a thousand members discount and guess where they will shop!!). As far as i know they all give a 10% discount at GSF.
(and for that reason i started following the PGAC, and have now joined)
