For Sale - Activa & V6 Exclusive

Unread post by hattershaun »

Folks,

This is also posted in the 'for sale' section

I've decided to sell two of my cars;

1) Xantia 3.0i V6 Exclusive, 1999, T-reg. 93k miles. Emerald green with beige leather & sunroof. MOT'd til Sept 2011, taxed to end of Mar 2011.
Last serviced at 90k mile, with big history file from new. This car is not concours condition, but drives well, auto gearbox works just fine. Cheap at £500.

2) Xantia 2.0i TCT Activa, 1999 T-reg, 96k miles. Dante metallic red with standard velour interior & sunroof. MOT'd to May 2011, tax available at face value. Has full service history with previous enthusiast owner. Has just had all 10 suspension spheres replaced with Citroën genuine ones. £750

Some background information for the curious.
Two years ago I converted (or my friendly & talented Cit specialists did) a very nice Activa to have a 3.0i V6 engine. Whilst I love the car in so many ways the colour was never my favorite (Emerald Green). I'd always loved the Dante metallic red, so I bought the Activa above a few months ago with a view to convert that to a V6 Activa. The green V6 Exclusive was bought as a donor car.
I've now been struck by the sensible thought of just accepting the green of the Activa V6 I already have. Also, I recently acquired a GSA as a long term car to keep, so am reluctant to take on yet more project cars.

Now, a thought for you all to consider. If anyone out there fancies for themselves an Activa V6, then here's an great opportunity, as virtually all the components are here ready & waiting. All that's needed is a manual gearbox from a Peugeot 406 (there are a couple on eBay for £100) & some time to fix all the bits together. Barry & Robert Lowdell at BL Autos have so far converted 4 cars including my original one. They would be more than happy to carry out another conversion. Estimate at 50 hours work, plus a few parts for the basis engine/gearbox conversion. You'd then have a wonderful car & plenty of spare parts to sell on from the remains of the two cars.

On the Activa section of the forum there has been some discussion about my Activa V6 after I took it the CCC Stratford rally in Sept.

I'm in Hatfield, Hertfordshire & B.L. Autos are a few miles away in Welwyn Garden City.

Completely agree. I've never got any money either (or space!)
