try holding down the central locking button until you hear the door locks go clunk clunk then press the key fob 3 times, it may resinc its self and start working! other problem could be its just flooded as when you start a vehicle from cold and move it like you have then turned it off it is drowned in fuel, then when you go to restart it the first thing that happens is the injection pumps more fuel in and floods it! may sound daft but this is what happens in this situations! it often affects bigger engines more but can happen to your's!daybow wrote:ive got a 99 v reg scenic, went to it this morning , started fine, pulled it off the drive on to the road, went back to it 5 mins later and it wont start, immobiliser light is flashing with the ignition turned on, so i think its that thats playing up, does anybody have any solutions? thanks

had this with my scenic a while back , firstly replace the battery in your key , as this affects the imobiliser, make sure the flashing red immobiliser light goes off on the dash before trying to start , i then replaced the plugs wich helped a lot but it still just turned over and didnt start everynow and again ,until last week the original battery packed up completely in the cold , new battery fitted and now it starts first time every time , no probs ,so take your pick . one should work for you
