OT Reliable Garage - Birmingham

Post by rory_perrett »

Daughter’s boyfriend is holed up in a Travel Lodge in Birmingham because his petrol Mondeo has pack up on the way from the North East to Cardiff. (OK I know, I am working on it to convert him to the joys of Citroens) Initial symptom was a loss of power, it would tick over but had no power and would not accelerate when you put your foot down. Now it won’t start at all.

Not wanting to jump to a diagnostic conclusion from 200 miles away – it sounds a bit like a fueling problem. Either fuel pressure or MAF sensor. Or it could be ECU – or anything.

Long story short – he needs to find garage in the morning to sort the problem and will be rather at their mercy being well off patch so to speak. Can anyone recommend a decent outfit in Birmingham who aren't going to take advantage?

Next to Birmingham airport, B33 0SL. I've not had any dealings with him myself, but he's on another car forum I use. He really knows his stuff and has a good reputation.
