PUG 406 blower???

Unread post by citronut »

my brother inlaw has a V reg 406 which service box calls it a restly break 5TPES 2.0 HDI 110 BVM5,

his heater fan packed up so i sent him a pair of the usual transistors that fix the XANT fan speed control unit's,

he phoned me today to say when he droped the fan unit out it does not have the speed control unit attatched to the fan base,

his chassis/VIN No. is 80909915 and i enterd this into service box and i cant work out which unit is the speed control,

also were does it hide,

i havent looked at the car myself yet as it lives in Dover which is about 50 miles away from me

Does it not have aircon?

BMW/Audi have the controller mounted in the airstream between fan cage and the evaporator/heater.

It appears to be a monolithic version - varies whether true "climate control" or not. At a guess from the pictures, it's in the airstream between pollen filter and puller fan, possibly with a black plastic base.
