Zeetex tyres

Post by XantiaDaveEire »

I bought 2 Zeetex tyres for the front today, the guy there recomended them over the cheaper chinese rubbish (His words)

At €70 a pop

I got the tracking done aswell which he left at €30,most places was €50

Has anyone used them or heard of them before?

Iv looked online but havent come across any prices or reviews..

True, maybe its the exchange rate, but that does seem expensive.

I got a pair of 195.65.15 Goodyear Duragrips for £120 fitted for the SX C5.

How about Avons (made in Wiltshire)? If you fit your own, about £40 each. My Xantia has a pair on the front as I was quoted nearer £60 for Michelin Energies when I needed 2 new tyres a couple of months ago. Very happy with them so far.

I had Avons on successive Montego estates for over 10 years. Excellent wet grip and low road noise, though the penalty for softer rubber was higher wear compared with a pair of Continentals I tried for a short while. After a massive understeer incident on a fast bend in the wet (left-hand and nobody coming the other way), I called a halt to the 'experiment' - I could see the Continentals out-living me!
