1995 Clio Immobiliser fault

I have a 95 clio 1.4 auto which stopped working overnight! There is no spark and no fuel comming to the engine either. i am under the impression its the dreaded immobiliser fault as i've checked the R/C/L reciever on the roof and youve guessed it........... full of water. Is there any checks i can do to check the operation of this unit? I don't have the cash to take it to the Renault Stealers....

hi, go to the scrap yard and get one thats dry, it will work as they are only a reciever and are not coded! hope this helps,,

i thought they were similar to peugeot, ie. the remote key and reciever were paired, as per yellow code label in both

hi, as far as i can remember you have an infered key, if so the reciever in the roof is just that a reciever and is not coded, the decoder is part of the fuse board know as the UC bic, hope this helps, Antz..
