Seeking help with Xantia 2001 window regulator

Unread post by atr »

Hello
My driver's side (lh drive) window fell down. I"ve dismantled the door panel in order to gain access to the mechanism and I've found that it was in parts. after looking into it I think that I've found the problem. I guess that due to "modifications" that were made, apparently by some mechanic, the white thing that the two cables attaches to, was repaired with epoxy resin, and I dont find where one cable has to connected. perhaps one of you people has apicture that describes that? alternativly, perhaps you know if and where I can buy that white plastic thing?
Thanx.

The white plastic clip isn't available as a separate part, it comes with the whole assembly so your best bet is to source a second hand one from Ebay or a breakers yard.

Hello,

I beg to differ with you DickieG.

I've found a source for these plastic regulator clips on eBay from a company in Turkey. Go on to eBay and do a search for "sesuya".

They sell all manner of window regulator repair parts including these clips for the Xantia. Incidentally the clips they list for the Renault Clio and Scenic appear to be the same as the S2 Xantia.

I've bought from them in the recent past and received the parts within a week of ordering. Price worked out at about £7 per clip including P&P and exchange rate adjustment.

I had previously tried to repair the clip using epoxy resin....it lasted 3 days !

Rgds.

Good heavens you must have too much spare time on your hands to find them  mind you I couldn't see a clip for a Xantia window on there :? either in for sale or sold items.

Thank you all.
I've looked in Ebay and it appears that some of Peugeot models are equipped with the same clip, so I hope it will be easy to purchase one.
