Hi Guys,

Not without the 'credit card'
The card contains the transponder code.
If its been lost, the dealer can supply the code (at a charge, expect around £40 for the privilege) , if you do go down this route ensure you also get the key number (the actual blade number) and anything else relevant to that car, as you would be charged again for information if needed.
Once you have the code (four numerals / digits) you then need a dealer or someone with a Lexia to code a key in.
If the transponder has been changed (unlikely) then the code may not work.
I know its too late now but personally I would ask for at least £100 off a car that did not have a (working) remote OR the card present.

From service.citroen:
Part Number Description Quantity Price excl. VAT Price incl. VAT Total incl. VAT
0000616075 CODE CARD 19.87 GBP 23.35 GBP 23.35 GBP
0000616086 CODE LABEL 2.15 GBP 2.53 GBP 2.53 GBP
Not sure what the code label is - but it requires the VIN to be specified at time of order, but if it does have the code on it, then it is a much cheaper way of getting the number. Bet the dealer won't tell you that!

Wouldn't the label just refer to the adhesive label usually placed on a pillar which has VIN number, paint code, engine code, etc., written on it? I'm pretty sure such labels do not have the immobiliser code, for obvious reasons...
If there is a way of getting the code for free, I'd be interested because my car came without one. Mind you, it's a Renault, not a Citroen.
Re: limp home mode at 70mph... turbo pressure not at correct level when under speed and load? Sounds like you need a Lexia session.

To get a key from the dealers is expensive, though you should be able to code a key and fit a new blade to the standard C5 flip key. They are usually available on ebay.
If your car is an LX, it will have steel wheels, black bumper rub strips and manual air conditioning. An LX can be either 90 or 110BHP in the 2.0HDi, Which is yours?
SX has dual zone climate control, alloys, colour rubbing strips, auto ligts & wipers etc. All SX HDis are 110bhps.

Not on the Hatch Steve, or not normally anyway. Estates are badged SX on the rear doors.myglaren wrote:There should be an "SX" badge on the black triangle on the rear doors, above the handle.
