C3 Display

I Have not got the the drivers handbook for my 06 1.6 diesel C3. There are two indicators on the display as you turn the ignition on. First is 6 o's in a row with min to max above either end of the symbols and the o are becoming _. The second looks almost like a hangmans gallows.

Hi,

The 6 o's or _'s are your oil level. All o's would mean it's at maximum.

Can't help with the gallows though, sorry.

Hangmans gallows? Not the speed nagger, or the thing to stop you going above a different speed? Can you take a picture

The arrow marked 2 shows the indication I am not sure about.

That's a dip stick symbol. It's just showing you that it's telling you about your oil level. The blobs are the level.
Its a useful guide but I would still check on the dip occasionally as they can be inacurate or do funny things when overfilled

i would put some fuel in the tank as your low fuel lamp is on

it may be saying your oil level is low ...

and that if it runs too low, your engine will go bang and the wife will hang you for your stupidity!

The Oil indicator has always been really hard to work out on the C3.

Yes, its just telling you that its showing you the oil level indication, its a guide and should not be taken as an exact, as they do lie! If you have all the dots there and its flashing it means its too full!

Yours looks half way down, so you need some oil, or thats what its telling you. Check with the dipstick for confirmation!
