NEED A LEXIA TO RESET AIRBAG FAULT ANYONE HELP PLEASE?

hi there anyopne help me ?i need someone with a lexia so i can finally get to the bottom of this airbag fault and service light,it seems to be the seat belt tensioner as i have checked the seat connections etc cheers

Hi,

It could well be that the fault lies with the wiring to the steering wheel air bag.

The flexible connector wiring is prone to failing.

You need to remove the air bag to gain access (disconnect battery and allow some minutes for capacitors etc to discharge before doing this).

Flexible connector is a hardish plastic covered flat cable with fine printed circuit board type tracks on it and it tends to crack and brak a track. Not easy to remove replace the connector strips so need to repair in situ. Soldering a bridge over the crack is also a bit tricky.

hi the fault is in the drivers seat belt pretensioner not the steering wheel,am desperate to get the airbag fault and service light off ,cheers
