rear spheres removal problem

Post by citrov6 »

When twisting the rear spheres off they're not coming off where they should instead its further back at the pipe union. Is there a technique to stabilising them to get just the sphere off? Afraid of breaking the pipes now

set the car on high, crack the spheres to start them off then depressurise and remove.

don't forget to use axle stands to protect yourself

What are you using to do it? I find when using the metal sphere removal tool, a good kick with your foot should help crack them off! ( only with the system pressurised though or you will break the pipe!)

I also find a strap wrench to be a very usefull tool in conjuction with a huge breaker bar!
