There is a guide in the form of a PDF available for download...

Citroen Technical Guide

A wealth of information in there with the diagrams you're after.

Your Xantia will have Hydractive 2.

Relatively few Xantias have Hydractive suspension whereas most (all?) UK XMs had it as standard so you may find more info out on a XM forum depending on what you want to know.

Is that OK Jim?

I think the XM Layout is different to Xantia, though the same systems. Possibly pipework.. this could be due to the fact that XM's kept "Sinking" Systems till quite late... were as the Xantia switched to Anti sink in 1994 ish.. The XM didn't change to anti sink till around 1997 rest of range, though the 2.5td I beleve got anti sink first in 1996.

'Course it is Steve :D

Generally, the only Xantias to have Hydractive were the VSX and Exclusive models along with the Activa. All V6 models were Hydractive.

All were Hydractive II and not to be confused with the early XM Hydractive I. Later XM Hydractive II is very similar...

As said, the Citroen Technical Guide explains it very well indeed...

It was ownership of the Xantia Exclusive that lead to XMs. The better thing about Xantia Hydraulics is the better placement of spheres, mainly the anti sink..
