£100 quid Picassssoooooo update

Unread post by citronut »

this is an 02 1.8 16V

replacement lump all in and running seems ok,

but in the procces of running it in and out of my workshop over the last couple of weekends, it has sooted all four plugs up, i noticed today on startting her up she was not quite happy,

pluged the Dis Lexia in and ran it in paramiter check mode this is what it says

with coolant tem at 96c

up stream sensor voltage constantly flitting from
0.839 to 0.098

down stream sensor voltage startted of simmilar to above then settled to

0.117 to0.098

coil charge time's

1 and 4 kept changeing from 1.6ms to 2.5ms

were 2 and 3 stayed at 2.5ms

i fitted the other seat of spark plugs and cleard fault codes, and ran the engine up again,
checked fault codes again and it says

permanent fault + APC 0-3n circuit

is any of this relavant or am i more confused than i started as

regards malcolm

ps.
i did use all the sensors and device's from the old engine

Malcolm,

Do you have the fault code numbers? With the numbers the fault can be identified in the Citroen manual which often gives a cause/remedy.

i still cant find the actual fault code's Richard,

in the passed when i have run a globle test with my DIS LEXIA, if i select any one area it says there are faults found, then it would alow me to select each fault, but on this Picasso i cant open any of the faults listed,

permanent fault
EOBD or ENGINE ECU

permanent fault
no comunicatiom with A/C

permanent fault
+APC open circuit

what is the APC
