Hello, I have a 2002 2.0 hdi 110 with what sounds like a noisy thrust bearing as there is a squealing noise when depressing the clutch pedal.
Will a solid flywheel and clutch off a '98 406 2.1 td fit the car and bellhousing which is a pull release same as the hdi 110?
I would prefer to do away with the dual mass flywheel if I am replacing the clutch. I have a 2.1 flywheel and clutch from a car I bought for spares. Although I would fit new plates and thrust bearing.
Anyone done this type of conversion?

If you wish to fit a solid flywheel it's best to buy a valeo conversion kit. This is made with a clutch which they claim has extra 'give' in it to replicate the damping effects of a DMF. I've fitted quite a few of these to various vehicles with good results. The kit contains all clutch parts +flywheel and bolts and works out pretty reasonable. Eurocar spares normally stock these.
