cd changer

Hi this is my first post on this forum as my wifes xantia has just been replaced with a 307 sw . Can anyone tell me if there is an idiots guide to the 5 cd changer. I got the jammed cd out but in doing so turned the black barrel with the slot in it . I assume there must be a position for this relative to the height of the disc platform HELP Regards John.

Is this the boot mounted one or the dash mounted one ?

I think the slot is just to indicate horizontal / vertical mounting, although I cannot remember exactly, sorry. From memory it should be either _ or | and not midway, sorry that's not a lot of help.

Hi it's a dash mounted unit and unless you've opened one up you won't know what I mean unfortunatly.
