Xsara cutting out !!! / MAP sensor

I have managed to get somewhere with my problem of my xsara 1.8 16v cutting out. a local injection specialist stuck it onto his Bosch analyser and found an error code 38. which shows the MAP sensor to be faulty or at least suspect, just had a look at its location on the inlet manifold tucked right under neath and not a lot of room for working, could anyone who has changed one of these tell me can it be done without removing the inlet manifold or does the whole thing have to come off (does the sensor protrude far into the manifold) any tips would be useful as I am hoping to do it this weekend when I can get a sensor, many thanks once again

you may want to have a look at a previous post i made,the sensors are very easy to change just a single bolt,it is likely that you will also have a problem with the connector if you can get it to cut out when you wiggle it.it only protrudes about 10mm into manifold,the sensors are very expensive. http://www.andyspares.com/discussionfor ...
