Post by citronut »

i cant find the RP No. on the 100 quid 02 1.8 16V XSARA PISSCASOOOO i am fixing up (engine in and running) for my daughter,

the tyre presure lable in the O/S/F door shut is just that and is a rectangular one rather the a long narrow sticker,

is it posible to derive this from the chassis VIN No.

Malcolm,

I know it sounds daft, but have a look on the N/S/F door pillars, Sisters ZX has them on there for some strange reason.

It should be on the drivers side 'A' pillar but on the tyre pressure sticker.

It can be difficult to "see" the rpo number from the label. There might be a leading zero and letters at the end :?

Here's a link where myglaren has sent pic from his C5 --> RPO number help please
Note that his rpo number "9387" is hidden in code "09387CJ"

Trainman
i cant see it on any of the pillars, the later BX's had it stenciled there as well,

Richard and VertVega
on this car it only has tyre presure on a lable which is wider that its length,

Vertvega yes i have seen the format you mention and this one certainly does not have that at all, at least not on the tyre lable,

wheeler i will look there tomorrow and report back

RP number (5 digit number starting with 0) should be printed on the tyre pressure label inside the driver's door :?

Anyway citronut you can get it from service pages :)
- Login to service pages
- Enter Vehicle VIN number (In Xsara it's seen in lower part of windshield)
- From left side of the window, click Vehicle --> Characteristics
- you'll get a long list of Vehicle characteristics on the right side of the browser window
- Second line from top, will show the RPnumber: AS RPO No --> 0xxxx

Hope this helps 8-)

There is a lad with a 'Y' Picasso at work and I'm sure we found his RP# on the driver's A-pillar.
I'll ask him in the morning.

Couldn't find it on my van, ended up contacting Citroen HQ a few weeks ago to get it.

Here's another way to learn your car's RP number and lots of other detailed information 8-)

Thanks to Citr Service who provides this opportunity.

Malcolm, I know an eligible young bloke here (aged 21); he's from good kosher stock and likes Citroëns - especially the CX GTi T2.

For just 10% of the dowry I am happy to introduce him to your daughter, saving you a bunch of future expenses.

Ah well, Malcolm, maybe we can find someone else for him!

Our vehicle registration labels here, carry the VIN in full. It's simple to log in for any car and get the RPO/specs. I often do this as pre-work before plugging in the Fauxia.

Makes it easy to order a key for a third party, too!

It's on the B-pillar!
Right down at the bottom above the sill.

Took a photo but on the phone. Unfortunately I appear to have killed my card reader.
I have a notion that I have a previous picture though. Anybody's guess where that might be though.
