She who must be obeyed has a 1998 Saxo 1.0 manual to which I replaced the TDC sensor on advise of RAC chappy that she called out recently. On checking the car I pumped the brakes a few times in succession and the engine was nearly stalled.
I cannot hear any leak from the servo so am wondering if another sensor is the problem. Its got a new spark plugs, exhaust and lamda sensor. Any help thanks.

i'm just trying to picture what you mean. the idle will change a little bit when pumping the brakes but that is only because the air/fuel ratio will change momentarily to bring the vaccuum back.
what exactly does it do? the crank sensor is only normally the issue if you have problems at high revs or when the engine is hot
