What does everyone use for filling an ML5T after draining? Access looks very tight so I doubt a funnel would be much use.
Also, is Valvoline HP PC 75w80 OK to use or would I be better off obtaining some Total or Esso stuff? If it makes a difference, its for the Coupé though I do have the same 'box in the Activa.

Hi Toby, I use a long tube fitted to a one litre plastic bottle that can be squeezed to help fill the 'box quicker. Usually, you can hold the bottle up in the cavity at the rear of the engine and run the tube into the filler plug in the diff housing. As it is a level plug as well, just fill until the oil comes out.
As for grades and makes of gearbox oil, as with all Citroen and Peugeot gearboxes, only Total or Comma should be used as they are formulated to cope with the alloy baulk rings found in these gearboxes. Anything else and you risk dragging gears and advanced wear in 2nd and 3rd rings.
Hope this helps.
