Question: Subscription Features on SC/ServiceBox

Unread post by addo »

Simple quessy!

Is there a level of subscription that allows access to wiring diagrams like the sort Jim occasionally posts?

(Sub-question...) Are they in a form that may be saved by screenshot or other means?

Thanks, Adam.

Adam,

I believe there is on the Service Citroen site. Many have said it may be worth buying a day or a weeks access and downloading as much as possible in that time. However, I do have a copy of Autodata with some nicely detailed diagrams on the 406 Coupé. Namely the ES9J4S which uses the ME7.4.6 (hence why I have a copy) What is it you are after specifically?

I'm wanting to check the reference voltage supply for some sensors. Does the 7.4.6 have a motorised throttle body?

How might I twist your arm?

I'm trying to get the info for our fellow member and damsel-in-distress with a 2001 Xsara (TU5JP4/manual).

One of the fault codes refers to the MAP sensor output - I'm not sure if the reference voltage is unreliable, or the sensor duff. Seeing where the reference supply comes from - whether a dedicated pin on the ECU or jumped across from another sensor, is key to following back the lines of supply.

oh yer this aint one of them there favour job's is it Adam,

does your wife/girl freind know

i have in front of me an AUTODATA PIN DATA manual,

the nearest Xsara engine ref i can find is NFZ TU5JP/L3 which is 98/02 and 1.6 manual transmision,

ECU ref BOSCH MP 7.2/7.3

FOR THE MAP sensor

pin 42 output 5V with ingnition on

pin 14 input 4.5V with ignition on

" " " " 1.2V at idle
" " " " 4.7 briefly = engine idling- accelerate briefly

pin 37 earth with ignition on

hope this match's up with your ECU

It's all well above board Malcolm.

Does Pin 42 go straight to the MAP sensor and only to that sensor, or does it also feed other ones? Battery seemed to charge OK, so alternator is ruled out as any source of fluctuating voltage.

Thanks, Adam.

thats ok then Adam we cant ave you getting any anky panky, or at least not if im not getting any :naughty: ,

and i belive pin 42 does go straight to the MAP sensor, as it say's
"signal output-signal or reference voltage sent to component"
