Correct oil for a 1.6HDI

Unread post by andyd76 »

I've read loads of posts on this, so sorry in advance for bringing this up again! I've read conflicting advice, and my local dealers give conflicting advice on what oil to use. As i understand it, my van doesn't have a particle filter. Any advice?

What is the exact model this particular 1.6HDi is installed in Andy? It may have a bearing on what is the correct stuff.

Knowing the vehicle, we can them move this question to the right part of the forum

Is it a 92bhp or 110? It may or may not have a FAP, though i think the oil is still the same.

I always get oil from the dealers and get the right spec for the car. I look after a 1.6HDi C4 and they do take specific oil, i think its low sulfur oil.
