After lowering the front height setting, on the test drive there was a pronounced wobbling of the gear lever in second gear when accelerating. Dismissing it as a symptom of the ride height being too low I assumed it would vanish if the height was set back to how it was before. Unfortunately, that's not the case now I've reset the height back to how it was.
What could I have done to cause this?
EDIT: The lower engine mount looks past it's best from a brief glimpse - I was hoping it might be something that simple.

Oscillating gear shift lever on acceleration

Hi Mike, the gearstick on my 2.1td xm does this in any gear especially when accelerating or decelerating. I've tried replacing all the engine mounts including the bottom bushing (at great expense) but it didn't help at all feels as if the engine/gearbox is moving fore and aft, in fact, it probably is... I've thought about fitting one of the almost solid bottom bushings that can be found on Ebay for sporty Peugeots to try to fasten it down a little but am worried about transfering stresses elsewhere.
If you find a solution I'm all ears

As I mentioned, the lower engine mount rubber appears (can't be certain) to be breaking away from the housing and driving last night, I could feel the car slightly wobbling as if the oscillations are being transmitted to the whole car now.
I much prefer the engine mount solution but feared it might also be down to driveshafts and couplings. I know my steering geometry needs some replacement parts but I'm inexperienced in diagnosing such faults, it's just a sense I get when driving.
