picture and list of what fuse is what

Post by Pompey_Dave »

i opened up my fuse box the other day to try find out which one is for the rear window, as its still not heating, but there is no diagram or listing of what fuse is what....just a load of fuses

anyone got a picture with listings of each fuse please, then I can try figure out what one is the one im looking for, aswell as knowing what the others are in case I need them later on

thanks

Hi Dave,

Prehaps before looking at the obvious, what about loking for the forgotton??

Check your wireing between the hatch and roof, at the rear, open the boot, and you'll see the two grommets in each corner going into the roof... Try pulling the grommets back and seeing if theres any broken wires!

According to Haynes,
if its a xantia for models upto January 1998:
F23 10A Heated rear window switch, heated seat switches
F27 30A Heated rear window, heated mirrors (power supply)

For models from January 1998:
F5 10A Heated rear screen switch, daytime running lights relay, heater blower relay, heated seats relay
F29 30A Heated rear window, heated mirrors

If you can find your owners manual believe theres a list of fuses in there.

Does the cabin fan blow?
There's a known issue with MK1 Xantias (can't remember what you've got, update your signature to let us all know) where the ignition switch burns out enough to stop the fan and rear heater working.
It's a simple fix.
